Friday: Arrival & Setup in Pozo
Noon - 7 PM
Welcome & Sign-In
Kick off the weekend with registration and a warm welcome at the Pozo Ranch staging area.
- Pick up your T-Shirt & Swag.
- Set up your camp and prepare for the adventure ahead.
5PM - 7PM
Night Ride Option & Dinner Available
Group Night Rides are Hoot.
- Ride to the top of Black Mountain on a twisty paved route at Sunset.
- Since we don’t know when you’ll be arriving or if you’ll be hungry, the club will offer Dinner from 5 until 7 Pm for a $10.00 donation.
8PM - 10PM
Evening Social
Relax and mingle with your fellow Like-minded enthusiasts around a raging bonfire.
- Benchrace, share stories and make new friends before the big ride. Bring a chair! Enjoy a Pozo Martini ?
Saturday: The Adventure Begins. Ride to Ballinger Canyon
6:30 AM - 7:30 AM
Coffee, Breakfast & Riders Meeting
Coffee & Breakfast from 6:30.
- Riders Meeting at 7:30, where we’ll go over the Day’s routes and answer any Questions.
8 AM - 9 AM
Head to Ballinger Canyon
Ride your choice of Trails through Pozo, from mild to wild.
- Ride into the Carrizo Plains and past Soda Lake.
- Then either ride challenging Hurricane Ridge or Elkhorn Road to the west end of the valley.
Refuel and recharge with a hearty lunch in Ballinger Canyon.
- Go for an afternoon ride in Ballinger Canyon.
- Come back, setup your camp and get ready for dinner.
- Park in the Parc Ferme at the Ranch in Ballinger.
Enjoy the Open Bar from 5 to 9 PM, just don’t forget to tip the Bartender.
3-5 PM Afternoon Ride in Ballinger Canyon
Conclude the day’s ride with your Choice of Loops in Ballinger Canyon. From Mild to Wild.
- Your gear has been dropped off at your campsite or your lodging if you reserved lodging or a campsite.
- Otherwise collect your gear near the Parc Ferme and set up camp.
6-7:30 PM Dinner and Drinks at the Ranch in Ballinger Canyon
Tri-Tip Dinner by Master Chef’s with all the Fixin’s.
- Open Bar from 5-9 PM. Tip the Bartender.
- Your now at the halfway point of the adventure.
Sunday - Ride in Ballinger Canyon and Return to Pozo
Sunday morning 2 riders meetings (You only need attend one meeting)
7:30 & 8:30 AM
Breakfast Sunday morning at the ranch in Ballinger Canyon from 7:00 AM.
- Go for a 35-45 mile ‘A’, B+ or ‘B’ morning loop.
- We Like to see everyone on the trail by 9 AM.
- Come back to the Ranch in Ballinger for a Gas stop & sack lunch for on the trail.
- ‘A’ Dual Sport morning loop could include challenging Singletrack
- ‘B+’ Loops there are several fun options
- ‘B’ morning loop is fun 2 track up to a WWII lookout tower
After your choice of Sunday morning Loops in Ballinger, there are 4 choices headed back to Pozo.
- A’, B+, B and Adventure.
- 100+ miles back to Pozo after the morning loop. Challenging or easy.
After Ride BBQ and beverages in Pozo are included Sunday afternoon at the private ranch.
- Head home or stay the night.
- Monday you have the option of a Dual Sport loop to Pismo Beach or ride an Adventure Loop to 3 Iconic Central Coast beaches.
- Morro Bay, Avila and Pismo Beach.
Monday- Ride to the Beach
Monday Morning Riders Meeting at 9 AM
- Breakfast in Santa Margarita on the Adventure Loop
2 Choices. Adventure or Dual Sport Loops
- Adventure Loop to 3 Iconic Central Coast Beaches.
- 150 or 130 miles to Morro Bay, Avila Beach and down Hwy 1 to Pismo Beach.
- 80 Mile Dual Sport Loop to Pismo Beach.
- Ride on the Beach and Return over Hi-Mountain Road in both directions.
- Past Lopez Lake.

FRIDAY - Camp or Stay in an RV in Pozo
Arrive in Pozo, Sign-In and Set-Up your chosen Campsite from Noon on Friday.
- Go for a Night Ride Saturday at Sunset.
- Dinner will be available and Pozo Martini’s are included.
- Bring a chair and hang out around the Bonfire till 10 PM.
SATURDAY - Ballinger Canyon - 3 Choices for Camping or Lodging
Bootleg Camp or Reserve a Campsite or Lodge at the Private Ranch in Ballinger Canyon.
- You can Bootleg Camp anywhere on the Mesa included with membership.
- One guy in your group can reserve a Campsite. With a Pergola, Picnic Table, Campfire ring, running water and a nearby Outhouse.
- Reserve Lodging is off the Mesa on the North side of the road.
- Choose a camping or Lodging Option under ‘Book Now’ packages.
- The ‘Lodge’ on the Mesa is no longer avaiable as it Burnt down in 2023.

SUNDAY - Return to Pozo
Sunday after Breakfast, go for your choice of Loops in or near Ballinger Canyon. Come back to the Ranch in Ballinger:
- Gas- Up
- Grab a Sack Lunch for the Trail
- Head to Pozo, once again with your choice of difficulty.
You should be back in Pozo well before dark.
- The Club will have BBQ, sodas, water and after ride libations.
- If you can, hang out Sunday Night, enjoy another Bonfire and go for a ride to the Beach on Monday.
MONDAY - Ride to the Beach
Go for an Adventure ride on Monday
- Head out Twisty Parkhill Rd & Hwy 58.
- Down Cuesta Grade on dirt Stagecoach Road,
- To San Luis Obispo, the Rock at Morro Bay, head over Perfumo Canyon and have Lunch in Avila Beach.
- Then Ride down Hwy 1 to Grand Avenue and Ride down Pismo Beach to the Oceano Ramp.
- Return to Pozo over dirt Hi-Mountain Road.
On the Dual Sport Loop
- Ride over Hi-Mountain Road past Lopez Lake in both directions .
- Ride down and back on Pismo Beach.
- You must have a Flag to ride into the sand dunes.
- Approx 80 mile Loop.
