What is the San Andreas 300?
The San Andreas 300 is an Epic Dual Sport and Adventure ride that takes participants from Pozo to Ballinger Canyon and back. Across challenging or scenic trails, 2 Track & dirt and paved roads in Central California, starting east of San Luis Obispo.
When does the event take place?
The first weekend of May.
- The ride kicks off on Friday with set-up & staging Friday afternoon.
- At a private ranch near Pozo.
- With room for the largst RV’s or truck & tent camping.
- Go for an evening ride on Friday, come back and enjoy a benchracing session around a large bonfire and Pozo Martini’s Friday night.
- Saturday morning after an included breakfast the club will portage your camping & overnight gear to a private campground in Ballinger Canyon.
What should I bring to the event?
You can camp in Pozo in an RV, trailer, truck or tent.
- The club will portage your overnight gear and bedroll to Ballinger Cyn for Saturday night.
- Participants should bring their riding gear & a jacket, a plated Dirt Bike for the ‘A’ loops, or a Dual Sport or Adventure motorcycle for the B+, B and ADV loops.
- 4 gallons of Fuel in a DOT approved container which will be returned.
- (There is a remote Gas stop on the ADV loop. No need to bring fuel for the ADV loops.)
- Camping gear, small ice chest, and essentials for a weekend ride will be portaged.
- Make sure you have installed new tires for this challenging terrain.
- This club ride includes breakfast, lunch & dinner for 2 days and an Open Bar Saturday night.
- Be sure to leave Pozo on Saturday morning with a full tank of fuel.
Are there any participation requirements?
You must have a spark arrestor on your exhaust silencer.
- Riders should have a valid motorcycle license, liability insurance and their bikes should be street legal.
- The club does not ask or check.
- It is up to you to comply.
- You must be a competent rider to tackle the ‘A’ Loops.
- The B+ and B loops are negotiable by any Like-minded enthusiast.
- The Adventure loops are suitable for a Novice.
